Key Qualifications:

• Associate's degree from an accredited Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program or equivalent
• Valid SLPA licensure for the state of California
• Experience supporting students in schools or healthcare settings, especially with special education populations
• Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
• Compassion and patience working with diverse student backgrounds
• Ability to follow direction from supervising SLP and adapt to various student needs

Responsibilities:

• Provide speech-language interventions as directed by a licensed SLP
• Support individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with higher needs
• Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and session notes
• Collaborate with educators and school staff to foster student communication development
• Prepare materials and activities to support engagement and learning
• Assist the SLP with assessments, as appropriate
• Help create a positive, supportive classroom environment
