Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Valid SLPA license in California (or eligibility for licensure)
  • Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting is highly regarded
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
  • Proficiency in documenting and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with speech-language pathologists, educators, and families
  • Organized, flexible, and reliable

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist licensed Speech-Language Pathologists in providing direct and indirect services to students
  • Implement therapy sessions according to outlined treatment plans
  • Support goal setting and progress tracking for students with speech and language needs
  • Prepare materials and adapt resources for therapy sessions
  • Collect data and maintain documentation in compliance with school and state standards
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute insights on student progress
  • Foster a supportive, inclusive atmosphere for students of varying backgrounds and needs
