School-Based Speech Language Pathologist Assistant - Rochester, Washington

Key Qualifications:

• Completion of an accredited Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program.
• Valid and current SLPA licensure, meeting state requirements.
• Previous experience working with school-aged children or in a school-based setting preferred.
• Familiarity with IEP processes and experience in healthcare environments a bonus.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Able to adapt communication style to suit students’ individual needs and abilities.

Role Responsibilities:

• Implement speech and language therapy plans under the supervision of a licensed speech-language pathologist.
• Work with students individually or in small groups to develop communication skills.
• Record and track student progress, maintaining accurate and confidential documentation.
• Support the speech pathologist with assessment processes and preparation of therapy materials.
• Communicate effectively with teachers, staff, and family members regarding student needs and progress.
• Participate in meetings and professional development to grow skillsets.
