Apply NowStep into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting elementary students as a highly valued Speech-Language Pathology Assistant. This school-based role is integral in providing FMLA leave coverage for a dedicated elementary campus, located in a supportive educational setting near St. Louis. The assignment is set to begin as soon as possible and extends through mid-October, with a consistent full-time weekly schedule of 37.5 hours. While this is currently a temporary need, ongoing speech services within the district may open the door to future opportunities.
Desired Competencies & Qualifications:
- Active Missouri SLPA license is required
- Previous school experience, particularly at the elementary level, is strongly preferred
- Ability to quickly adapt to a new setting and push in where needed for continuity of care
- Strong organizational skills and a collaborative approach with supervising SLPs and faculty
- Comfortable working onsite in a dynamic school environment
- Meet all district credentialing: fingerprint clearance and completion of mandatory contractor documentation before start
Key Responsibilities:
- Support implementation of speech-language interventions under SLP supervision
- Conduct small group and individual sessions, reinforcing communication goals
- Accurately document student progress and maintain compliance with district protocols
- Collaborate with teachers, SLPs, and school staff to monitor and adjust service delivery
- Provide compassionate, student-centered care within the guidelines established by the school district and supervising clinicians
