Key Qualifications:
- Current SLPA licensure valid in California
- Experience supporting students in school-based settings preferred
- Comfortable collaborating with speech-language pathologists, teachers, and other education professionals
- Effective communication skills with children, staff, and families
- Basic knowledge of therapy materials, documentation practices, and IEP support
- Strong organizational skills and adaptability to a variety of student needs
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support services to students under the guidance and supervision of licensed speech-language pathologists
- Carry out therapeutic activities and interventions according to established plans
- Assist in tracking student progress and maintaining accurate documentation
- Prepare learning materials and help create a supportive learning atmosphere
- Work collaboratively with school staff to ensure students’ communication needs are met
- Engage in meetings and professional development as requested
