Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) in San Jose, CA

The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, prior experience working with children or adolescents in educational or healthcare environments, and a patient, enthusiastic approach to therapy delivery. You’ll collaborate with licensed Speech-Language Pathologists, educators, and families to help students achieve their communication goals.

Qualifications and Experience Sought:

• Valid SLPA licensure for California
• Previous experience in a school setting highly desired
• Background with pediatric or adolescent caseloads, either in schools or healthcare
• Strong teamwork and organizational abilities
• Familiarity with IEPs and data tracking preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement therapeutic activities as directed by supervising Speech-Language Pathologists
• Support students with speech, language, and communication needs through individualized and group sessions
• Document student progress and participate in data collection
• Communicate regularly with teachers and support staff regarding student updates
• Prepare therapy materials and incorporate classroom goals into sessions
