Step into a fulfilling opportunity supporting students’ voices and communication as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in a vibrant K-8 educational environment. This full-time contract position offers 37.5 hours per week and the chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children. Working across two nearby school sites, you’ll provide continuity of care to a diverse caseload and help students thrive.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current licensure or eligibility to practice as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in Oregon
- Previous experience with school-aged children, especially K-8, is highly valued
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative attitude
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and travel between sites effectively
- Passion for helping students achieve communication and academic goals
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct, individualized speech and language services as directed by a supervising SLP
- Collaborate with teachers, school psychologists, and other staff to support students’ IEP goals
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with district standards
- Travel efficiently between two local school campuses
- Assist in developing and adapting therapy materials and activities based on each student’s needs
- Participate in team meetings, IEP conferences, and ongoing professional development
