Starting as soon as possible and extending through the end of May 2027, you’ll play a vital part in helping students reach their communication goals over multiple school years.
Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
- Active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license or eligibility in the state of Texas
- Previous experience working in a school setting is highly valued
- Comfortable collaborating with a supervising SLP and other educational staff
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to foster positive student rapport
- Ability to adapt to diverse student needs and personalize interventions
- Detail-oriented, reliable, and organized to manage documentation and therapy sessions
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement individualized therapy plans developed by a licensed SLP to address students’ speech and language goals
- Deliver direct and indirect services to students under SLP supervision
- Collect data on student progress and contribute to reports for IEP meetings
- Participate in school meetings and provide updates on student performance when needed
- Prepare engaging activities and materials that support targeted communication objectives
- Foster an inclusive, encouraging, and supportive environment for student growth
