This is a contract role supporting students across two welcoming campuses, Voss Farms Elementary and Lamar Elementary, serving a combined caseload of 72 students. Elementary school hours are 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, allowing for a consistent daytime routine.
You'll collaborate closely with supervising SLPs at both locations, ensuring guidance and professional growth throughout your assignment. You'll utilize helpful tools such as SLP Toolkit for documentation, note-taking, and SHARS, as well as a user-friendly district platform to efficiently track IEP minutes and support students’ progress.
Candidates should bring:
- Completion of an accredited SLPA program or equivalent
- Eligibility or licensure as an SLPA in Texas
- Experience or strong interest in school-based speech-language services
- Familiarity with caseload management and documentation best practices
- Organizational skills and the ability to adapt in an active elementary school setting
- Professional communication and teamwork skills
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering speech-language therapy under the supervision of dedicated SLPs
- Supporting students individually and in small groups to reach targeted speech/language goals
- Maintaining clear, timely documentation using district-approved platforms
- Collaborating with teachers, support staff, and families to best meet student needs
- Assisting with IEP meeting preparation and progress reporting
