This full-time position spans the entire school year and is ideal for a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) with a strong background in school-based settings and experience implementing Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active SLPA license with experience in K-12 educational environments
  • Demonstrated expertise with AAC devices and strategies
  • Previous work supporting high school age students is highly valued
  • Strong collaboration and communication abilities with educators and interdisciplinary teams
  • Flexibility and creativity when adapting to varied student communication needs

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with a supervising SLP to deliver individualized speech and language services to a caseload of approximately 20 high school students
  • Support the integration and consistent use of AAC within both academic and therapeutic activities
  • Maintain thorough documentation of student progress, session notes, and communication goals
  • Participate in IEP meetings and team discussions to help shape communication interventions
  • Collaborate with classroom staff and other specialists to foster inclusive, language-rich learning environments
  • Adjust therapy approaches as needed to accommodate a range of communication skills and behavioral profiles
