Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree and qualification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
  • Active SLPA licensure in the state
  • Previous experience in a school environment preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced academic setting and work with diverse student populations
  • Organized and detail-oriented; adept at documentation and progress tracking

Responsibilities:

  • Support implementation of speech, language, and communication interventions under the supervision of a Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Provide direct and indirect therapy to students, working one-on-one or in small groups
  • Assist in developing and modifying individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Collect data and maintain accurate records of student progress
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and SLPs to support student goals
  • Assist with classroom activities and materials that reinforce language skills
  • Participate in school meetings and professional development as needed
