Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree and qualification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
- Active SLPA licensure in the state
- Previous experience in a school environment preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced academic setting and work with diverse student populations
- Organized and detail-oriented; adept at documentation and progress tracking
Responsibilities:
- Support implementation of speech, language, and communication interventions under the supervision of a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Provide direct and indirect therapy to students, working one-on-one or in small groups
- Assist in developing and modifying individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collect data and maintain accurate records of student progress
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and SLPs to support student goals
- Assist with classroom activities and materials that reinforce language skills
- Participate in school meetings and professional development as needed
