Qualifications:

  • Valid North Carolina SLPA license (required)
  • Previous experience in a school-based setting or with pediatric populations preferred
  • Familiarity with a variety of speech and language disorders
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to organize, document, and report on student progress with attention to detail
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic educational environment

Responsibilities:

  • Implement therapy activities designed by supervising SLPs to support students’ speech and language development
  • Work one-on-one or with small groups to address individual student needs
  • Track student performance and maintain accurate documentation according to school and state requirements
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals to promote best outcomes for every student
  • Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
  • Participate in meetings, training, or school-based professional development as needed
