School Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) | Spring, Texas

Step into an exciting contract opportunity supporting students’ communication growth in schools across the east side of Houston. If you are a dedicated and licensed SLPA, this role will allow you to make a direct impact in both high school and middle school settings, providing valuable support where it’s needed most. This role involves working on-site at two campuses, so candidates must be fully comfortable traveling between both locations.

Key Requirements:

• Active, in-hand Texas SLPA license (a screenshot will be required upon submission)
• Demonstrated school-based experience as an SLPA
• Reliable transportation and commitment to commuting between Furr High School and Edison Middle School (candidates must confirm this prior to presentation)
• On-site attendance; remote work is not an option
• Ability to complete and pay for HISD fingerprinting within the first three days of contract signing
• Candidate must purchase a laptop; reimbursement will be provided

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver speech and language support services to students as directed by supervising SLPs
• Implement individualized treatment plans inside the school environment
• Document student progress, therapy notes, and communication goals
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to best support student development
• Flexibly navigate between campuses based on site needs
