Key Qualifications:
- Current Texas SLPA license required (must provide a screenshot for verification)
- Previous experience supporting speech-language services in a school-based setting
- Ability to commute reliably to multiple campuses across the Houston metro area
- Comfortable working on-site and engaging directly with school staff and students
- Willingness to complete and cover upfront costs for required fingerprinting within the first three days of contract signing
- Must be prepared to purchase a laptop, which will be reimbursed
Responsibilities & Expectations:
- Deliver high-quality, student-centered therapy in collaboration with on-site SLPs and special education staff
- Support speech-language goals through direct services, documentation, and progress monitoring
- Rotate between campuses as assigned: Furr High School, Edison Middle School, and Holland Middle School
- Maintain detailed records of student progress and keep open lines of communication with supervising SLPs
- Uphold compliance with district, state, and federal requirements for documentation and reporting
This contract role offers stable, full-time hours through the school year, with anticipated assignment through late May 2027. Candidates with prior experience in large urban districts, especially within Houston, are especially encouraged to apply.
