School-Based Speech Language Pathologist Assistant - Sugar Land, TX

Exciting contract opportunity is available for a licensed Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) eager to work on the east side of Houston. This position focuses on serving both Furr High School and Edison Middle School—candidates must confirm reliable transportation and a willingness to commute between these two campuses. The assignment is set to begin as soon as possible and will run through the end of May 2027.

Qualified professionals who are available and enthusiastic about supporting students across multiple locations are encouraged to apply. Please note: this role is onsite only, and a current active Texas SLPA license is required, with no supervision hours provided.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Active Texas SLPA license in hand (please provide a screenshot with your resume)
• At least one year of school-based experience as an SLPA
• Comfortable and able to reliably commute to both Furr High School and Edison Middle School
• Onsite/ in-person availability (no remote options)
• Reliable vehicle for campus travel
• Willingness and ability to complete/pay for HISD fingerprinting within the first three days of contract start
• Ability to purchase a laptop (cost reimbursed)

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct and indirect speech-language pathology services to students as assigned by supervising SLP
• Collaborate with teaching staff and participate in student support teams
• Maintain thorough records and assist with data collection and documentation
• Support the communication growth and academic progress of students

Additional Details:

• Start date: ASAP; End date: 5/28/27
• Compensation is set at $64 per hour
• Laptop purchase required (reimbursement provided)
• HISD fingerprinting compliance is a must
