- Active SLPA license or eligibility to practice in the state
- Experience or a strong interest in school settings, working with children or adolescents
- Solid understanding of speech and language disorders and intervention strategies
- Ability to adapt communication styles to various age groups and developmental levels
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Collaborative spirit and excellent interpersonal skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in conducting group and individual speech-language therapy sessions, under the supervision of a certified SLP
- Carry out therapeutic activities, reinforcement exercises, and assist with progress monitoring
- Prepare materials, track student progress, and maintain accurate records as directed
- Support individualized education plan (IEP) implementation and participate in team meetings as needed
- Foster a positive, inclusive atmosphere where every student feels empowered in their communication journey
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other staff to promote student success
