This full-time, in-person role involves serving two elementary schools and one middle school—spending three days a week at one location and one day each at the other two. The position is available immediately and extends through the entire school year, offering a meaningful opportunity to contribute to student growth on a contract basis.
Key Qualifications:
- Active SLPA license or certification for California (Speech-Language Pathology Assistant)
- Experience working with school-aged children, preferably in public school settings
- Solid understanding of speech and language development and related interventions
- Strong interpersonal and organization skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with supervising SLPs, educators, and families
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet varying student needs across school sites
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct therapy services under the supervision of a licensed SLP
- Assist in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) for speech and language
- Document therapy sessions and monitor student progress
- Support assessment and evaluation processes as directed
- Communicate with teachers and parents about strategies to support student progress
- Manage caseload efficiently, traveling between assigned locations as scheduled
Working Hours:
- Likely schedule is 7:45 AM – 3:45 PM on weekdays
- Full-time commitment aligns with the typical school calendar year
