This position begins in August and is located within a vibrant school community near Sunnyvale and Palo Alto, CA. Desired Qualifications:
- Valid SLPA license or SLP credentials in California
- Experience supporting children or adolescents in school-based settings
- Strong collaboration skills to consult and partner with educators, families, and school teams
- Ability to adapt to diverse student needs and individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Commitment to confidentiality, professionalism, and fostering a positive learning environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with students individually or in small groups to address speech and language goals
- Deliver speech interventions as directed by supervising SLP
- Support classroom teachers with strategies for communication support
- Collect and organize data for progress monitoring
- Assist in preparing therapy materials and maintaining documentation
- Participate in IEP meetings as needed and communicate progress with educational teams and families
- Adapt therapy activities to meet diverse learning styles and cultural backgrounds
