An opportunity is available for a skilled Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to provide essential speech and language services in a school setting located in Tacoma, WA. This contract position involves working collaboratively with licensed speech-language pathologists to support students' communication development and help them achieve their educational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with speech and language therapy sessions under the supervision of a licensed speech-language pathologist
  • Implement individualized treatment plans tailored to students’ needs
  • Collect and document student data to track progress and outcomes
  • Prepare and maintain therapy materials and documentation
  • Communicate effectively with students, families, and educational staff to support student success
  • Adhere to ethical guidelines and maintain confidentiality standards

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Certification or licensure as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in the state of Washington
  • Experience working with children in school or clinical settings preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Ability to follow supervision and guidance from licensed speech-language pathologists
  • Commitment to student well-being and educational support

Location: Tacoma, Washington
