Key Qualifications:

  • Licensure or certification as an SLPA in Massachusetts
  • Completion of an accredited Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program
  • Previous experience in a school-based setting preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
  • Positive, student-centered approach to care and intervention
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, therapists, and families
  • Organizational skills for documentation and caseload management

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct speech and language services to students under the supervision of a licensed SLP
  • Assist in developing and implementing individualized student treatment plans
  • Collect data on student progress and maintain accurate records
  • Participate in IEP meetings, team conferences, and professional development as required
  • Support classroom teachers with strategies to facilitate students’ language development
  • Adapt activities and materials to meet varying student needs and abilities
  • Foster a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive environment for all learners
