Bring your expertise in speech and language services to a rewarding contract position supporting young learners. We are looking for a dedicated Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) passionate about helping PreK through 1st grade students reach their full communication potential.
This full-time opportunity runs from July 31, 2026, through May 21, 2027, with a consistent schedule of 35 hours per week. You’ll be working with a manageable caseload of approximately 25 students, fostering meaningful connections and making a real impact during a crucial stage of early development.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Active SLPA license or certification required
- Experience or strong interest in school settings, particularly with PreK–1st grade children
- Knowledge of speech and language development in early childhood
- Ability to follow therapy plans designed by an SLP and implement activities in small groups or one-on-one
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with staff, students, and families
- Organizational skills to manage documentation and support student progress
- Adaptability and compassion for the unique needs of young learners
Key Responsibilities:
- Carrying out speech and language interventions as directed by supervising SLP
- Supporting students with a variety of communication needs and tracking progress
- Collaborating with educators, staff, and families to reinforce communication goals
- Maintaining accurate and timely documentation per school and compliance guidelines
- Participating in team meetings and contributing to IEP processes as necessary
