Desired Experience & Qualifications:

  • Active ASHA certification and ABSESPA licensure.
  • Valid Professional Educator Certification required.
  • Must possess or obtain all necessary licensure and fingerprinting for SLPA practice in Alabama.
  • Previous experience in a school-based SLPA or similar pediatric speech setting a plus.
  • Strong communication skills, collaborative spirit, and a passion for student growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct speech-language support services under the supervision of a certified Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Contribute to IEP meetings and documentation requirements as needed.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of communication-based interventions.
  • Adapt activities to meet each student’s individualized goals and needs.
  • Maintain accurate records and collaborate regularly with educational staff and caregivers.
  • Remain flexible regarding site assignments and caseloads, as allocation is based on ongoing school needs.

Contract Details: The assignment will run from August 7, 2026, through June 10, 2027, with 1–4 positions available to address the needs across multiple school locations. You’ll work exclusively onsite (remote opportunities are not an option for this role), immersing yourself in a dynamic educational environment.
