Speech Language Pathologist Assistant in Turlock, CA

Step into a rewarding full-time contract opportunity supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in a vibrant school setting. This position runs from now through June 6, 2025, encompassing both the extended school year (ESY) and the next school year (NSY). Work alongside a collaborative team dedicated to helping children achieve communication milestones.

Your day will be structured with regular hours from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm, providing speech-language services primarily in small group settings—each group lasting 20-30 minutes with 2 to 4 students. You’ll also have the chance to provide one-on-one support for preschoolers and younger students, making a real impact in their early development.

Key Qualifications:

• Current California SLPA license required
• Experience providing speech-language services in school or healthcare settings
• Skilled at working with children in small groups and individually
• Clear communication skills and a compassionate, patient approach
• Ability to collaborate with supervising SLPs, teachers, and families

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct speech-language therapy in accordance with student IEPs
• Document sessions accurately and maintain thorough progress records
• Adapt materials and activities to engage diverse student learners
• Support supervising SLPs in assessment, planning, and intervention strategies
• Foster a positive, encouraging learning environment for all students
