Qualifications & Preferred Experience:
- Active licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
- Recent experience in a school-based setting preferred
- Understanding of IEP processes and documentation
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with supervising SLPs, educators, and other school staff
- Comfort supporting diverse student populations, including middle school
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and indirect speech-language therapy services to students under the supervision of a licensed SLP
- Support students in achieving their IEP goals related to communication and language development
- Assist in implementing individualized therapy plans and adjusting activities as needed
- Collect and record data on student progress for ongoing evaluation
- Prepare and organize therapy materials and resources
- Engage regularly with teachers and education teams to ensure students' needs are being met
- Participate in meetings, training sessions, and collaborative planning as needed
