Embark on a rewarding opportunity supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in a dynamic school-based setting near Vallejo, CA. This contract role runs from ASAP through the end of the school year (with the possibility of limited summer extension), providing meaningful impact on a diverse caseload while collaborating in a supportive educational environment.

This flexible assignment welcomes qualified SLPAs, with required supervision readily provided at no additional cost to you. Enjoy a consistent schedule of 3-5 days per week on site, working 7.5-hour days with a 30-minute unpaid lunch, from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct speech and language services to a caseload of approximately 55 students under appropriate supervision
  • Finish out existing IEPs, ensuring service completion and compliance
  • Document student progress and maintain accurate records in accordance with school guidelines
  • Work collaboratively with supervising SLPs, educators, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Participate in IEP meetings, providing input and progress updates as needed
  • Support students’ communication goals, adapting interventions as necessary based on individual needs

Desired Qualifications:

  • Valid California SLPA license
  • Experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining effective communication with your supervisor
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Flexible and adaptable approach to scheduling and caseload needs
