Step into a dynamic educational setting supporting high school students with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and other learning differences. The Compass High Program, based within Ludlow High School, prioritizes individualized, skill-building education designed to nurture independence and success outside of conventional classroom structures. This contract opportunity offers valuable experience making a real impact across the 2026-2027 school year, beginning late August and extending through late June (specific calendar to be finalized).

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid state credentials in Speech-Language Pathology (SLPA or SLP-CF), meeting all regulatory requirements
  • Solid background working with AAC devices and augmentative communication strategies
  • Previous school-based or high school caseload experience highly desirable
  • Passion for supporting students on the autism spectrum or with diverse learning needs
  • Ability to thrive within a collaborative, specialized educational environment

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct and consultative speech-language services to high schoolers in a specialized, nontraditional program
  • Implement and monitor AAC systems tailored to individual student needs
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team—educators, therapists, and families—to build communication and functional skills
  • Develop and adjust individualized treatment plans and session materials based on ongoing student progress
  • Document student growth, maintain required records, and participate actively in team meetings
