Step into a rewarding role supporting high school students with Autism Spectrum Disorders and other learning differences in a specialized, student-centered environment. This contract opportunity runs from late August 2026 through late June 2027 (subject to the school year calendar), with a primary assignment at a specialized high school program in Ludlow. Here, you’ll focus on fostering independence and communication skills for students benefitting from alternative approaches outside traditional settings.

Key Qualifications & Ideal Experience:

  • Current licensure/certification as required by state regulations.
  • Previous experience working in a school setting as an SLPA or SLP-CF.
  • Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices.
  • Strong ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and tailor services to meet individual student needs.
  • Commitment to empowering students to build essential life and communication skills.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct speech and language support to high school students in a highly supportive, non-traditional classroom setting.
  • Implement and monitor AAC strategies and devices, training staff and collaborating with families as needed.
  • Document therapy progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in IEP meetings.
  • Contribute to a positive, constructive team environment focused on student growth and independence.
  • Adapt interventions and resources to address a wide variety of communication and learning styles.
