Desired Skills & Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree from an accredited SLPA program or equivalent qualification.
  • Valid SLPA license or eligibility for licensure required by the state authorities.
  • Prior experience providing support in school environments preferred.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Strong commitment to fostering student development and success.
  • Comfortable collaborating with supervising Speech-Language Pathologist and multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the SLP in conducting group and individual therapy sessions as instructed.
  • Prepare therapy materials, modify activities, and document progress toward IEP goals.
  • Support the implementation of speech and language interventions tailored to students’ needs.
  • Track and report on student progress, maintaining accurate records in compliance with school and district guidelines.
  • Collaborate with teachers, other staff, and families to maximize student learning and communication outcomes.
  • Conduct screenings and follow-up tasks under the supervision of a licensed SLP.
