Step into an impactful role supporting elementary students as a School Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in a vibrant educational setting near Wilmington, MA. This full-time, contract opportunity runs from September 14th through December 23rd, offering you the chance to make a difference during a critical part of the school year. Your day will follow a consistent 7:30 am to 3:30 pm schedule, working closely with experienced professionals and nurturing students’ communication growth.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Valid and current SLPA credential or license, meeting state requirements
  • Prior experience in a school or elementary caseload preferred
  • Familiarity with assisting in speech and language therapy activities
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to build rapport with young students, teachers, and families
  • Flexibility and enthusiasm for working in a collaborative school environment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to implement therapy plans for elementary-aged students
  • Provide direct and small group support to help students develop communication skills
  • Track progress, gather data, and provide input for Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings
  • Prepare materials and adapt activities to students’ diverse learning needs
  • Communicate and collaborate with teaching staff and other professionals
  • Maintain student confidentiality and comply with school policies
