A K-12 educational setting in Winston-Salem, NC is seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support students from kindergarten through 5th grade. This position is designed to provide critical speech-language assistance as part of a comprehensive Student Learning Plan. The role is a contract assignment starting ASAP and lasting through the end of the school year, working 37.5 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide speech-language therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
  • Support a caseload of approximately 45 students, with grade levels primarily K-5th, though caseload may shift based on student needs
  • Assist in planning, implementing, and documenting therapy sessions tailored to individual student goals
  • Collaborate with educators and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care and student progress
  • Maintain accurate records and progress notes in compliance with school policies

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Experience working as an SLPA in school or healthcare settings, preferably with elementary-aged children
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to adapt therapy for diverse learners
  • Familiarity with K-12 educational environments and caseload management
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
