Qualifications & Preferred Experience:
- Associate’s degree from an accredited Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program
- Current state licensure or eligibility as an SLPA
- Previous experience in a school environment strongly preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with speech-language pathologists, teachers, parents, and students
- Compassion, patience, and dedication to helping children succeed
What You’ll Do:
- Deliver speech-language therapy services under the direct supervision of a licensed SLP
- Support students individually or in small groups according to prescribed therapy plans
- Assist in developing, implementing, and documenting therapy sessions
- Collaborate with staff members and participate in team meetings as needed
- Monitor and track student progress towards therapy goals
- Help maintain organized and confidential records in compliance with school and regulatory standards
- Adapt therapeutic activities creatively to fit the unique needs of each student
- Perform other supportive duties as directed by the supervising SLP
