Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)

Join Our Team! We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support the delivery of high-quality speech and language therapy services. Working under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), the SLPA will implement treatment plans, document progress, and help individuals develop effective communication skills in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct speech-language therapy services under the supervision of a licensed SLP.
  • Implement individualized treatment plans developed by the supervising SLP.
  • Collect and document therapy data, monitor progress, and report outcomes to the supervising SLP.
  • Assist with preparing therapy materials and maintaining a positive therapy environment.
  • Collaborate with families, educators, and multidisciplinary team members to support communication goals.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with state, federal, and organizational guidelines.
  • Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assisting or a related field that meets state requirements.
  • Current state SLPA license or certification, as required.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • School-based or pediatric experience preferred.
