What You’ll Bring:
- Active LCSW license and credential (preferred candidates will already be credentialed)
- National Provider Identifier (NPI) number required
- Current registration on the PAVE portal, essential for participation in school mental health programs
- Experience working as a social worker in K-12 schools or similar youth-focused environments
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with educators, parents, and fellow support staff
- Empathy, adaptability, and excellent problem-solving skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group counseling to students facing emotional, behavioral, or social challenges
- Develop and implement intervention plans tailored to the unique needs of students
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other stakeholders to develop comprehensive support strategies
- Conduct assessments and maintain detailed, confidential records in line with school and district standards
- Offer crisis intervention when needed, helping students navigate immediate challenges
- Stay current on best practices and legal requirements for school-based social work
- Support the overall mental health and social-emotional program at the school
