Preference will be given to candidates who are already credentialed, ensuring a smooth transition into this important role supporting children and their families.

Key Qualifications:

  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) certification required
  • Experience as a school social worker or in child/adolescent mental health strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of special education, IEP processes, and school-based counseling
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with teachers, staff, and parents
  • Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and confidentiality
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in education

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and group counseling for students facing social, emotional, or behavioral challenges
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to create supportive intervention plans
  • Conduct assessments and participate in IEP meetings as needed
  • Serve as a resource for crisis intervention and conflict resolution on campus
  • Connect families to community resources and mental health services
  • Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with school and state regulations
