Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited program
- Current state licensure (or eligibility) for school social work
- Previous experience working with school-aged children and adolescents in both general education and special education settings
- Strong assessment, crisis intervention, and advocacy skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, teachers, and parents
- Excellent organizational and communication abilities
- Reliable transportation for traveling between nearby school sites
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group counseling to students in PreK-12th grade, addressing social, emotional, and behavioral needs
- Complete social-emotional assessments and participate in the IEP process for special education students
- Develop and implement intervention plans to support student success
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and outside agencies to provide resources and support
- Support classroom management and foster a positive school environment
- Respond to crises as needed and offer short-term intervention
- Maintain accurate records and adhere to confidentiality standards
