Social Worker in Adrian, MI

Qualifications & Experience:

• Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited program
• Current state licensure (or eligibility) for school social work
• Previous experience working with school-aged children and adolescents in both general education and special education settings
• Strong assessment, crisis intervention, and advocacy skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, teachers, and parents
• Excellent organizational and communication abilities
• Reliable transportation for traveling between nearby school sites

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and group counseling to students in PreK-12th grade, addressing social, emotional, and behavioral needs
• Complete social-emotional assessments and participate in the IEP process for special education students
• Develop and implement intervention plans to support student success
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and outside agencies to provide resources and support
• Support classroom management and foster a positive school environment
• Respond to crises as needed and offer short-term intervention
• Maintain accurate records and adhere to confidentiality standards
