Take on a meaningful role as a Social Worker supporting students across a local educational setting for the 2026-2027 academic year. This contract position focuses on providing critical social-emotional support during scheduled maternity leaves, with coverage needed for up to 12 weeks beginning in August, as well as additional periods in October and November. Expect a full-time schedule, working up to 40 hours per week, ensuring continuity of care and advocacy for the school community.
Key Qualifications:
- Active and current school social work certification is required (please provide certification upon application)
- Previous experience in school-based or educational social work settings is strongly preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills for collaborating with students, staff, and families
- Ability to work independently and adapt quickly to changing needs within the school environment
- Commitment to supporting students’ social, emotional, and behavioral well-being
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide short-term and ongoing social work services for students during staff maternity leaves
- Conduct assessments, create intervention plans, and support crisis intervention as needed
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other support staff to promote positive student outcomes
- Maintain clear, thorough documentation in accordance with school and district requirements
- Participate in team meetings, IEPs, and parent conferences as necessary
- Foster a welcoming and supportive climate for students and families
