School-Based Social Worker - Allegan, Michigan

This contract role is ideal for an experienced School Social Worker who enjoys flexibility and is interested in travel or virtual arrangements. You’ll work with a close-knit group of around 20-25 students, primarily ages 7 to 15 (2nd grade through junior year), providing invaluable social-emotional support and intervention during critical stages of development.

Key Qualifications:

• Michigan 310 School Social Worker certification required
• Previous experience in a school or youth-focused setting strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of social-emotional learning and behavioral intervention strategies
• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and staff
• Ability to work independently and adapt to various learning environments, including virtual service delivery

Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments and develop individualized support plans targeting students’ emotional and social needs
• Deliver group and one-on-one intervention, crisis response, and counseling
• Collaborate with educators and service teams to identify at-risk students and provide actionable recommendations
• Offer guidance to families and connect them with resources for ongoing support
• Maintain confidential records and documentation in compliance with state/district policies
