School-Based Social Worker | Allendale, Michigan

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited program
• Valid state licensure as a School Social Worker
• Previous experience in a school-based setting preferred
• Strong understanding of child and adolescent development
• Excellent communication, mediation, and problem-solving skills
• Commitment to cultural sensitivity and diversity
• Ability to manage caseloads and maintain thorough documentation
• Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams

Position Responsibilities:

• Assess and address the social, emotional, and behavioral needs of students
• Develop and implement individualized intervention plans
• Consult and collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families
• Provide crisis intervention, counseling, and resource referrals when needed
• Support the implementation of IEPs and 504 plans
• Facilitate group sessions and classroom presentations on social-emotional learning and behavioral skills
• Advocate for students’ needs and assist families in navigating available community resources
• Maintain detailed records and ensure compliance with district, state, and federal guidelines
