Key Qualifications and Experience:

  • Holds a Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited program
  • Valid state licensure or eligibility as a School Social Worker
  • Experience working within school settings (elementary, middle, or high school)
  • Strong skills in counseling, crisis intervention, and building rapport with students from diverse backgrounds
  • Knowledge of IEP processes and special education services is highly desirable
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and teamwork abilities

Core Responsibilities:

  • Provide social, emotional, and behavioral support to students individually and in small groups
  • Assess students’ needs and develop intervention plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
  • Support the implementation of IEPs and 504 plans, including attending meetings as required
  • Engage with families, school staff, and community partners to coordinate support services
  • Conduct crisis intervention, risk assessments, and referrals as needed
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of services and progress
