School Social Worker - Arlington Heights, IL

Key Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited program
• Valid state licensure (Type 73 or equivalent for school social work)
• Previous social work experience in a school setting preferred
• Strong understanding of child development and elementary-age social-emotional needs
• Excellent communication, advocacy, and collaboration skills
• Ability to work effectively with students, families, faculty, and school leaders

What You’ll Do:

• Provide individual and group counseling to elementary-aged students
• Consult with teachers and staff to support classroom management and student adjustment
• Collaborate on intervention plans and support strategies for at-risk students
• Act as a liaison between home, school, and community resources
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, including IEP and 504 planning
• Support district-wide social-emotional initiatives and provide crisis intervention as needed
