School Social Worker - Arvada, CO

Key Qualifications:

• Master's Degree in Social Work from an accredited institution
• Valid Colorado Special Service Provider license: School Social Worker (serving ages birth through 21)
• Minimum of three years’ experience working in school settings
• Proven ability to address varied student issues impacting academics, socialization, and well-being
• Background check and fingerprinting will be required as part of district credentialing

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct mental health services to students to foster academic success
• Support students’ emotional, psychological, and behavioral needs, including attendance challenges and crises
• Assess individual students to identify specific areas of need and develop appropriate support strategies
• Refer students to outside agencies for ongoing social, emotional, or economic support
• Maintain thorough documentation of case files, interventions, and progress
• Collaborate with parents, teachers, and school leaders for comprehensive student support
• Lead counseling initiatives, workshops, or small groups to address school-wide needs
