School-Based Social Worker - Arvada, Colorado

A rewarding opportunity awaits an experienced Social Worker to support mental health services within a vibrant high school setting near Arvada, CO. This full-time, contract role focuses on providing direct support to a diverse group of students with an emphasis on serving those with mild to moderate needs, affective needs, and significant support requirements. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in helping students access resources, foster emotional well-being, and achieve academic success throughout the school year.

What We’re Looking For:

• Valid Colorado Department of Education Special Services Provider License with Social Worker Endorsement
• Experience providing support in Special Education settings is strongly preferred
• Skilled in working with high school students, especially those with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) reflecting mental health service needs
• Ability to deliver services to a varied caseload, adapting to campus-specific requirements
• Strong interpersonal skills, advocacy abilities, and collaborative mindset

Your Impact:

• Offer direct social-emotional and therapeutic support to students with a range of needs
• Participate actively in IEP meetings and develop student-centered intervention plans
• Collaborate closely with educators, families, and school teams to address and support student mental health
• Maintain up-to-date documentation in compliance with district and state requirements
• Ensure that all district credentialing paperwork is completed promptly to facilitate a smooth onboarding

This position is on-site with a schedule of 37.5 hours per week, serving one high school campus (final assignment details to be provided). You’ll be partnered with a dedicated support team and have opportunities to build lasting, positive connections within the school community.
