Make a meaningful impact supporting high school students through comprehensive mental health services in a vibrant educational setting near Arvada, CO. This contract opportunity offers a full-time assignment (37.5 hours per week) onsite at a high school campus, beginning as soon as credentialing is complete and lasting through May 21, 2027. You’ll join a dedicated team serving students with a range of needs—including mild to moderate, Affective Needs, and Significant Support Needs—delivering essential support written into their IEPs.
What we’re seeking:
- Colorado Department of Education Special Services License with a Social Worker Endorsement
- Experience working in school-based environments, with a preference for those with knowledge of SPED (Special Education)
- Demonstrated ability to serve high school students, providing mental health and social-emotional services
- Strong understanding of student IEPs and mental health service minutes
- A flexible, collaborative approach, ready to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Organized and responsive in completing required district credentialing prior to assignment start
Your responsibilities:
- Deliver professional social work services to high school students identified with varying support needs
- Collaborate with special education staff, administrators, and families to develop and implement effective strategies
- Serve as an integral resource for students, guiding them through challenges impacting their academic and personal development
- Contribute to IEP development, meetings, and ongoing documentation
- Provide direct mental health support as outlined by each student’s plan
