In this role, you'll provide expertise to Pre-K children and collaborate with families and educational staff, working two days per week for a total of 15 hours. Your knowledge and compassion will help ensure every child receives the social-emotional support they need during these formative years.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Current State of Colorado Department of Education (CDE) license for Social Work is required
  • Prior experience in Early Childhood environments, especially working directly with preschool-aged children
  • Familiarity with Head Start programs or similar preschool initiatives is highly valued
  • Strong communication, assessment, and collaboration skills
  • Commitment to promoting inclusivity and supporting diverse families

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide social-emotional support and counseling services to preschool-aged children within the Head Start program
  • Engage with families and teachers to develop and implement intervention strategies
  • Conduct screenings and assessments to identify student needs and inform support plans
  • Partner with multidisciplinary educational teams to foster a positive learning environment
  • Facilitate group and individual sessions for skill-building and emotional regulation
  • Support the mission and compliance of the Head Start program through professional expertise and ethical practice
