Key Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid state licensure as a Social Worker (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Previous experience in school-based social work strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with teachers, families, and administrators
  • Flexibility to work with both early childhood and high school student populations
  • Strong understanding of child and adolescent development
  • Excellent communication, organization, and advocacy skills

Core Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct social-emotional support and counseling services to students in early childhood and high school caseloads
  • Assess students’ needs through observation, interviews, and collaboration with staff or families
  • Develop and implement intervention plans and crisis response as necessary
  • Participate in IEP and student support meetings, offering professional insight and recommendations
  • Serve as a liaison between school, families, and community resources
  • Advocate for students’ well-being and facilitate access to additional supports or services when needed
  • Maintain thorough documentation and adhere to ethical and legal standards
