Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid state licensure as a Social Worker (or eligibility to obtain)
- Previous experience in school-based social work strongly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with teachers, families, and administrators
- Flexibility to work with both early childhood and high school student populations
- Strong understanding of child and adolescent development
- Excellent communication, organization, and advocacy skills
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide direct social-emotional support and counseling services to students in early childhood and high school caseloads
- Assess students’ needs through observation, interviews, and collaboration with staff or families
- Develop and implement intervention plans and crisis response as necessary
- Participate in IEP and student support meetings, offering professional insight and recommendations
- Serve as a liaison between school, families, and community resources
- Advocate for students’ well-being and facilitate access to additional supports or services when needed
- Maintain thorough documentation and adhere to ethical and legal standards
