In this dynamic, full-time contract position, you'll have the opportunity to work directly with students ranging from early childhood through high school, providing critical mental health services and guidance throughout the entire 2026-2027 academic year.
Key Qualifications:
- Hold a Master’s Degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
- Maintain an active Colorado Special Service Provider license specific to School Social Work (serving ages birth through 21).
- Possess a minimum of 3 years’ social work experience within a school environment.
- Demonstrate familiarity with K-12 populations and varied age groups.
- Willingness to complete district-required background check and fingerprinting.
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver individual and group mental health support to address issues impacting students’ academic performance, behavior, and socialization.
- Identify and refer students to outside agencies for assistance with economic, emotional, or physical challenges.
- Perform assessments to determine students’ needs and develop effective counseling or intervention strategies.
- Collaborate closely with parents, teachers, and administrators to create a comprehensive support system for each student.
- Maintain accurate case files, monitor student progress, and report behavioral patterns.
- Offer counseling sessions, develop treatment plans, and conduct workshops to facilitate student growth and well-being.
- Ensure commitment to serving from the start to end of the school year, as continuity is crucial for student support.
