You'll play a crucial role in delivering mental health services to students with a range of needs—including mild to moderate, Affective Needs, and Significant Support Needs—helping them access resources, navigate challenges, and achieve academic and personal success. You’ll serve one school with a 37.5-hour work week, collaborating closely with education teams to support students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Social Work
- Valid Colorado Department of Education Special Services Provider License with Social Worker endorsement
- Experience within special education (SPED), with a strong understanding of IEPs and providing mental health services to diverse student populations
- Previous work in high school settings and comfort navigating varying caseloads and service minutes
- Flexibility to adapt to campus-based needs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct social-emotional and mental health services to students as outlined in IEPs
- Collaborate with educators, school psychologists, families, and other support staff to foster positive outcomes
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to developing holistic support plans
- Maintain documentation and records in compliance with school and district guidelines
- Complete credentialing and contract packet prior to assignment start
