Step into a rewarding contract opportunity for the 2026-2027 school year as a Bilingual Social Worker supporting students and staff near Aurora, IL. This role allows you to make a meaningful impact 1-2 days per week (up to 14 hours), focusing on students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) who are bilingual in English and Spanish, as well as providing broader support to the school’s general education bilingual program.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Illinois School Social Worker license is required
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish
  • Previous experience working in school-based or healthcare-oriented social work settings
  • Deep understanding of IEP processes and culturally responsive practices
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
  • Compassion, flexibility, and initiative to assist students and colleagues as needs arise

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct counseling and intervention services to students with IEPs who are bilingual
  • Partner with educators to develop and implement strategies for supporting bilingual learners
  • Serve as a resource for the Gen Ed bilingual program, addressing social-emotional needs of students
  • Participate in IEP meetings, assessments, and parent consultations as needed
  • Contribute to a positive, inclusive school culture during assigned onsite days
  • Provide crisis support and guidance for students and staff when present
