Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited program
  • Valid state licensure or certification to practice as a School Social Worker
  • Previous experience working in K-12 settings preferred
  • Strong knowledge of child and adolescent development, behavioral intervention, and crisis response strategies
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration abilities
  • Ability to manage confidential information sensitively and professionally
  • Proficiency managing a diverse caseload and documenting services accurately

Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one and group counseling for students experiencing academic, social, emotional, or behavioral challenges
  • Develop and implement individualized support plans in collaboration with teachers and parents/guardians
  • Crisis intervention and risk assessments as needed, ensuring students’ safety and supporting school-wide well-being initiatives
  • Serve as a knowledgeable resource for staff regarding behavioral and mental health, offering strategies and recommendations
  • Facilitate social-emotional learning programs and staff trainings as appropriate
  • Participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings to shape intervention approaches and student success plans
  • Maintain thorough and organized case records in compliance with local, state, and federal guidelines
