In this onsite role, you will collaborate closely with classroom educators, special education staff, and related service providers. The caseload consists of approximately 25 elementary students, along with opportunities to provide push-in services within special education settings. Your experience and passion will empower students to overcome social, emotional, and behavioral challenges, helping set them up for classroom and personal success.
Qualifications:
- Valid Illinois School Social Worker (IL SSW) license required
- Current PEL with School Social Worker endorsement necessary
- Demonstrated prior school-based experience as a social worker
- Strong communication skills, with a comfort in both individual and group settings
- A collaborative approach and commitment to supporting a diverse student body
- Resume and license must be included for consideration
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individual and group counseling, intervention, and crisis support to students
- Implement push-in services to special education classrooms
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to ensure student needs are fully addressed
- Maintain thorough records and comply with district and state requirements
- Participate in team meetings and professional development as needed
