Social Worker | Aurora, Illinois

Step into a role supporting the well-being and social-emotional development of elementary students in a welcoming, growth-oriented school environment. This is a full-time, onsite contract position working with a diverse caseload of approximately 25 elementary students, as well as providing direct push-in services for special education classrooms. The assignment begins as soon as possible and runs through October 2, 2026.

Key Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid Illinois School Social Worker (SSW) license
• Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Social Worker endorsement required
• Demonstrated experience working in school settings
• Ability to provide both individual support and classroom-based interventions
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach
• Capacity to work onsite full-time; virtual/remote work is not available

Core Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct social work services to students in alignment with their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Conduct group and individual counseling sessions addressing academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs
• Collaborate effectively with teachers, support staff, and special education teams to foster a positive learning environment
• Provide push-in social work support within special education classrooms, adapting strategies as needed
• Serve as a resource for crisis intervention and family outreach when required
• Maintain accurate documentation, write reports, and participate in IEP meetings
