School-Based Social Worker - Aurora, Illinois

Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting elementary students’ well-being at a vibrant and collaborative educational environment. This full-time, onsite contract role is designed for a dedicated school social worker eager to make a difference during a leave coverage period. You’ll engage closely with teachers, students, and families, supporting social-emotional development and ensuring access to services for children with diverse needs.

You’ll have the chance to work at two welcoming elementary schools, delivering intervention and case management for individualized caseloads of students with IEPs and 504 plans. Experience with Embrace for IEP management and MyServiceTracker for Medicaid billing is valuable, but a passion for empowering students is most important.

What we’re seeking:

• Valid Illinois PEL with school social worker endorsement
• Previous experience in an elementary school setting preferred
• Proficiency developing interventions and supporting students with IEPs and 504 Plans
• Knowledge of and comfort using Embrace and MyServiceTracker is a plus
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Empathetic, flexible approach and team-oriented mindset

Role Highlights:

• Provide targeted services to 3rd–5th and K–2nd grade students
• Manage caseloads that include general education, instructional, and structured program students
• Collaborate with educators and families to promote student growth
• Document services, conduct assessments, and participate in IEP/504 meetings
• Offer short-term coverage for leaves (February to May) in dynamic school settings
