Certified Middle School School Social Worker - Bailey, CO

Key Qualifications:

• Current state license as a social worker
• Social work experience in elementary and/or middle school environments
• Certification specific to school-based social work (if required by state)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as within a multidisciplinary team
• Commitment to advocating for student well-being, equity, and positive school climate

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct counseling and intervention services for students facing academic, social, or emotional difficulties
• Conduct assessments to help identify student and family needs
• Develop and implement support plans and appropriate interventions
• Participate in student assistance teams, collaborating with teachers, counselors, administrators, and families
• Facilitate group sessions and classroom presentations on social-emotional topics
• Connect students and families with community resources and outside agencies as needed
• Maintain accurate and confidential records in compliance with school and regulatory guidelines
