Step into a meaningful role supporting elementary students in a dynamic therapeutic day program. This contract opportunity offers you the chance to make a real difference working with three dedicated classrooms—serving two social-emotional (ED) classes and one autism elementary class. You'll become a valued resource for students, collaborating with educators and families while delivering skilled support and advocacy to those who need it most.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Hold an active Social Worker license (LCSW or equivalent eligibility for school settings)
  • Previous experience as a school-based social worker preferred
  • Expertise in delivering social-emotional and behavioral interventions
  • Familiarity with elementary-aged children, especially those with emotional disabilities and autism spectrum disorders
  • Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills
  • Team-oriented professional who thrives in collaborative environments

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized and group counseling to students in need
  • Develop, implement, and monitor behavioral and social-emotional interventions
  • Participate in student progress reviews and maintain all required documentation
  • Work closely with classroom teachers, specialists, and families to ensure comprehensive care
  • Support crisis intervention and positive behavior support plans as needed
  • Contribute to Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and reporting

This role offers consistent hours from 8:15 AM to 3:15 PM, Monday through Friday, with a half-hour lunch break. Begin as soon as possible and continue through May 22, 2026, with the potential to renew for the following academic year.
